Need for new rules ?

Hey all !

Quand un joueur passe d'un serveur Fab à l'autre il conserve, en théorie, les objets qu'il a sur lui: c'est un problème. D'abord il y a un bug qui permet au joueur d'obtenir régulièrement des objets qu'il n'a jamais eu; mais surtout, cela permet à un joueur d'amasser des objets qu'il a obtenus plus facilement sur un serveur et de les transférer dans l'autre serveur, ce qui enlève tout sens au serveur ouvert. C'est même injuste pour les joueurs qui n'ont pas accès au serveur privé et qui ne sont pas en mesure d'opérer aucun transfert d'objet. Comme les serveurs en sont à leur début, je propose qu'on les redémarre avec d'autres paramètres, qui rendent impossible un quelconque transfert.

Je m'imagine aussi un joueur qui arrive sur le serveur ouvert et qui serait confronté à 4-5-6... joueurs travaillant en équipe, ce qui n'est pas une situation souhaitable je trouve; je propose donc qu'on limite le nombre de joueurs pouvant travailler dans la même équipe. Comme nous sommes peu nombreux présentement, je propose un maximum de 2 joueurs par équipe pour l'instant.

Autre chose, je trouve trop facile de commencer le jeu avec une arme automatique, qui plus est, cela empêche les joueurs de se rendre compte de ce qu'il peuvent faire avec une hâche; je propose donc qu'on remplace les automatiques par la hâche, dans l'équipement de départ.

Hey all!

When a player moves from one server to another Fab retains, in theory, the objects he has on him: it is a problem. First there is a bug that allows the player to get regular things he never had, but more importantly, it allows a player to collect items he obtained more easily on a server and transfer them to the other server, which removes any sense to open server. It is even unfair to players who do not have access to private server and are not able to make any object transfer. As servers are in their infancy, I suggest that restarts with other parameters, which make it impossible for any transfer.

I imagine myself as a player who arrives at the server open and would face 4-5-6 ... players working as a team, which is not a desirable situation I found, I propose that we limit the number of players who can work in the same team. As we are currently few, I suggest a maximum of two players per team for now.

Another thing, I find it too easy to start the game with an automatic weapon, what is more, it prevents players realize what they can do with an hatchet, I propose that we replace the automatic with the hatchet, in the equipment at respawn.

Still night in servers, and only Fabs servers works... ;(

Can be a good idea to put night vision gogle in basic equipment, they are to rare, near no 1 got 1: the result is only that no 1 can really play in night time...

Hey all !

Je pense que nous devrions changer notre façon de gérer la nuit, surtout si nous voulons attirer plus de joueurs, nombreux semble-t-il sont ceux qui comme moi ne veulent pas jouer la nuit, surtout en solo; c'est pourquoi un grand nombre de serveurs opèrent le jour 24 sur 24, pas de nuit. Dans la réalité, il y a la nuit, mais dans cette réalité, j'en profiterais pour dormir, bien à l'abri. Aujourd'hui, par exemple, je n'ai pas joué de la journée (il fait toujours nuit), combien comme moi se sont tournés ou se tourneront vers d'autres serveurs ? Je propose plutôt d'inclure des jumelles pour la nuit dans l'équipement de base; elles sont beaucoup trop rares autrement.

Ce qui m'amène à des questions; la plus part des serveurs semblent fonctionner avec la plus récente version de Arma2, pas nous, pourquoi ? Je ne peux pas jouer ailleurs si je n'ai pas cette version, et si j'installe cette dernière version, est-ce que je pourrai jouer sur nos serveurs sans devoir réinstaller la précédente ?

I think we should change the way we manage the night, especially if we want to attract more players, many apparently there are those like me who do not want to play at night, especially solo, so a large number of servers operating on the day 24 of 24, not at night. In reality, there is the night, but in this reality, I would take advantage of to sleep well protected. Today, for example, I have not played the day (it's still dark), how many like me have turned or will turn to other servers? I propose instead to include binoculars for the night in basic equipment, they are too rare otherwise.

Which brings me to questions; most of the servers seem to work with the latest version of Arma2, not us, why? I can not play elsewhere if I do not have this version, and if I install this latest version is that I can play on our servers without having to reinstall the previous one?

1: u can't suggest who works with who lol, dayz is a free world, u can't say no u can't join our team cuz the other team has to much, its not swat, there is no such thing as balance. if u were able to live by the rules of my team u could join us but knowing you you will never aggree with our location and rules. besides that its not a competitive game were u have to kill eachother, that is also a choice
2: having the ability to alternate between closed and open server and store items is a privilige u obtain by becoming a member, membership is a privelige u need to deserve once u deserve it it gives u certain perks like this.
3: if i were to make the server light all the time i need to restart the server every 6 houres means i need to wake up at night to restart the server, sorry but i want my sleep, besides that DayZ is about reality in a zombie apocolypse, in the real world u can't restart the server to make it daylight. i do reset it 2 times per day to give extra time of sunlight
4: the arma version of the server does not affect dayz, servers with another arma version but same version of dayz 1.7.6.1 are THE SAME, u can always instal the latest version of arma even if the server doesn't use the latest version, the arma version of the server is minimum requirement only.
5: NIght vision, again realisme.... lets say a zombie apocolypse were to happen today, u can't say everyone just coincidentaly has nightvision goggles laying in their closet. besides that u are equiped with a flashlight and u can find flares and chemlights, learn to play with this or just don't play at night. good luck finding a server that equips u with nightvision from start.
6: u don't start ur game with an automatic revolver, u start with a revolver 6 shots per reload and 4 mags, with luck u can shoot 24 zombies and ur done. i don't see the problem. and if u gonna throw realisme at me, in a zombie apocolypse advanced as this the likelyhood that u have a gun is big.
